DU Affiliate 7 Colleges Admission Notice 2017-18

The seven government colleges of the capital have been affiliated to Dhaka University since Thursday.

In view of the decision of the Ministry of Education to implement the directive of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the government colleges were included in the University of Dhaka.

The colleges are - 
1. Dhaka College,
2. Eden Women's College,
3. Government Shaheed Suhrawardy College,
4. Kabi Nazrul Government College,
5. Begum Badrunnesa Government Women's College,
6. Mirpur Government Bangla College.
7. Government Titumir College.

At present, there are 1,67,366 students and 1,149 teachers in honors and masters level in these colleges.

Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Presided over by AAMS Arefin Siddique, a meeting of the officers of seven government colleges was held.

The Vice Chancellor thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for taking the decision to enroll relevant government colleges under the Dhaka University to increase the standard of higher education.

The Vice-Chancellor said, "We will make all-out efforts to implement his goal according to the Prime Minister's interest. From now on, admission process of students of these affiliated colleges will be conducted from the University of Dhaka.

The Vice-Chancellor also said that arrangements will be made to conduct academic activities according to the syllabus of Dhaka University. He prayed for the overall cooperation of the attendees.

The seven government colleges affiliated to Dhaka University will be selected for admission in the new academic year.

Online admission process will start on October 16. The end will be November 14. The admission test will be held on December 1, 2 December and 8 December.

Last year, after coming out of the affiliation of National University, seven major government colleges in the capital came under Dhaka University. After the affiliation of Dhaka University, regular examinations of seven college students were facing the crisis. When the University of Dhaka authorities suddenly failed to deal with the various examinations of seven college students, at one stage the students came to the movement demanding the examination. At one stage, the dates of the different year's examinations were announced. But the question arises that any selection of these colleges will be taken for admission in the new academic year? Or will it be admitted on the basis of SSC and HSC results like National University? The answer to these questions was found in a coordination meeting of Dhaka University admission.

Recently, a press release from the university's public relations office said that the admission process for admission in the first year honors category will start on October 16 in the seven government colleges of DU affiliated to the academic year 2017-2018. According to the decision of the meeting, admission process under the Faculty of University Arts and Social Sciences, Faculty of Science and Faculty of Commerce will be completed. The examination will be held on 1st December in the admission of students of the Arts and Social Sciences. Trade will be held on December 2 and December 8 (Friday) will be held in the examination of science faculty.

Minimum qualification for admission test

In science section, the science section of the Madrasa Education Board will have the sum of the GPA obtained in the secondary and higher secondary or equivalent examination (including fourth subject) of candidates who have passed the examination in Alim 7. In the Humanities section of the Higher Secondary and Madrasa Education Board, the candidates who passed the Alim examination in the secondary and higher secondary examination (including the fourth subject) sum 6 of the GPA.

Higher Secondary, Diploma-in-Business Studies and Business Management Examination of the Business Education Department will have 6 points of 5 GPA combined with secondary and higher secondary examination (including fourth subject).
