Question: I have passed GCE-A (or any other foreign degree) this year (or have passed GCE-O/any other foreign degree previously). How can I apply at DU?

Answer: Students having any foreign degree (either at HSC level or SSC level or at both levels), before applying online, must visit the concerned unit office at University of Dhaka and apply for an equivalence certificate. After some days they will receive an EQUIVALENCE ID in the certificate. Then they will have to use the ID as HSC/SSC roll in the online application form. They cannot use the online admission system without the equivalence ID.

Question: I am (as well as my parents are) not Bangladeshi citizen(s). Can I apply through the online primary application system?

Answer: University of Dhaka admits foreign students through government channel. Admission requests for Non-Bangladeshi students are initiated from the embassy or high-commission of Bangladesh at foreign countries. Therefore, if you want to study at DU, please contact local embassy or high-commission of Bangladesh at your country. They will describe the admission procedure for foreigners in detail.
